Jessie J Blasts Back At Louis Walsh

Posted in : Gossips

(added 7 hours ago)

Louis Walsh may find he's bitten off more than he can chew after he opened hostilities with The Voice this week - because Jessie J has already come out punching in retaliation. The 59-year-old, a fixture on The X Factor, had derided the new BBC show as "dull and boring", but The Voice coach Jessie hit back during an interview on Capital FM.

Jessie J Blasts Back At Louis Walsh

She said: "Is that because people are singing really well? He's had loads of albums out and been on tour for ages…not! "I think you should always be respectful of other people who have had success and had a career.

"And yeah, I don't know how I'd feel taking vocal advice from someone who doesn't sing, but Louis Walsh, you're a nice guy. Just keep it nice."Meanwhile Jessie's fellow coach Danny O'Donoghue said that he had shrugged off negative comments about the show - and explained that he dealt with it the same way as he did with criticism of his band, The Script.

He said: "I think the same way as when you read negative comments about The Script. Do you care, really? No. "We make a show for ourselves and we've made our music and our albums for ourselves too."In other Jessie J news, she has declared that her second album will be "eclectic" - because she just can't settle on one style of music.

Jessie J 'made no money last year'

Posted in : Gossips

(added 2 days ago)

Jessie J 'made no money last year'Jessie J allegedly struggled to make any money from her music last year. The 'Who You Are' singer has landed a job on 'The Voice' and lucrative sponsorship deals since 2011 but until this year wasn't making much profit from her ventures according to reports. Documents filed at London's Companies House for the year ending last August reveal she had a near £20,000 loss.

While Jessie J had £360,000 in the account of her concert firm Who You Are Touring and was owed £210,000, she had to pay creditors £590,000. Another of her firms, Who You Are Ltd, apparently made just £387. A source told The Sun: "Jessie's first-year figures aren't great but quite often royalties from sales and radio play take a while to come through.

"Until last summer, she had played mostly relatively small gigs and been hampered by a leg injury. The insider added: "But these days Jessie has deals with drink firm Vitamin Water and MasterCard, plus her fees from this year's No1 single 'Domino' and her work on 'The Voice' have delivered serious boosts to her bank balance."

The Voice: Jessie J Claims She's Being Picked On

Posted in : Gossips

(added 4 days ago)

The Voice: Jessie J Claims She's Being Picked OnIt doesn't seem as if she's enjoying her stint as coach anymore, does it?

The Domino singer reeled off negative comments to each of the show's acts, telling Frances to “take more risks”, Joelle to “let go” more and letting Ruth know that she'd got her age completely wrong.

What does that even mean?

The nasty comments would have been fine (we're all used to Simon Cowell, after all!) but, when Jessie began bickering with will.i.am, the temperature definitely seemed to take a dip. Despite Sir Tom Jones, Danny O'Donoghue, Jessie J and will.i.am usually keeping things pretty casual, talking over each other when they feel the need arises, Jessie lost her temper when will.i.am butted in during her critique of Ruth Brown's performance: She raised her arms in protest and flashed him a Look: "Stop it Will, I'm here as well!"

Later on, in the midst of flattering Tyler James (a contestant Jessie is rumoured to have a big crush on), she jokingly suggested that the other judges were picking on her: "I'm getting picked on tonight."Oh we're sure that's not the case; the boys definitely have a soft spot for their little firecracker! Fingers crossed they're all back to normal by next weekend...

Jessie J ‘an impossible diva’

Posted in : Gossips

(added 6 days ago)

Jessie J is reportedly “getting far too big for her boots.”The 24-year-old singer acts as a judge on the UK version of talent show The Voice. BBC1 Controller Danny Cohen stopped by the set of the show recently and Jessie is said to have snubbed him while he stood outside her dressing room.

Jessie J ‘an impossible diva’

“Jessie is getting far too big for her boots. Nobody can believe what an impossible diva she has become,” an eyewitness told British newspaper the Mirror. “It was extraordinary, Danny is the most senior man at BBC1 and The Voice is his baby. He’s the man who flew over to Holland personally to sign a huge deal and buy the show, and he’s invested an enormous amount of his own time and energy in the format because he knows a lot rides on it.”

“More importantly he was the man who gave Jessie J a job and turned her into a household name, so nobody could believe it when she left him standing outside in the corridor like a lemon.”Jessie recently appeared on the Graham Norton Show where she called parts of the singing competition show “lame.”

Jessie J wishes she knew 'The Voice' line-up in advance

Jessie J wishes she knew 'The Voice' line-up before signing up for the show. The 'Domino' singer says she was the initial celebrity personality to attached her name to the UK project, which originated in the US, but now thinks it would have been better to find out who her colleagues were. Jessie told Company magazine: "I was first to sign up [as a judge] because I was totally up for it. But when Tom Jones said he waited until he knew the line-up, I thought I should have, too."

Jessie J wishes she knew 'The Voice' line-up in advance

Jessie J says that working as a mentor on the BBC1 programme has been a challenge but it's not the biggest of her worries at the moment. She said: "It's been scary at times but it's one thing in my life, not the only thing. My second album is my focus."The pop star also revealed she would never audition for the show even if her music career dried up. She added: "I wouldn't enter myself in 20 years' time. I feel like I've worked hard enough to stay here, even if I end up behind closed doors doing make-up. I'll always be around."

Academic claims Jessie J ‘only 94% lesbian’

Posted in : Gossips

(added 10 days ago)

Claims in a recent book that pop star Jessie J is ’100% lesbian’ have been strongly countered by researchers in the field of erotic mathematics. ‘This 100% figure is decidedly inaccurate,’ said Professor Edward Simpson of the Institute of Sensual Calculus. ‘In the past two years I have made an intensive study of Jessie’s recordings and interviews, and have also applied what I call the HQ,or Hotness Quotient, to her videos. This has helped me to arrive at a much more precise figure for Jessie’s lesbianism of 93.759%.’

Academic claims Jessie J ‘only 94 lesbian’

However, Professor Simpson’s figure has itself been questioned by some of his fellow academics. Writing in the Journal of Applied Mental Onanism, Dr Muriel Spengler of the Society of Sexual Statisticians observed: ‘In Britain only 1 in 27 women is named Jessie. Of these, my research indicates that just 1 in 55 is 100% lesbian. It therefore follows that Jessie J, at best, is 17.5% lesbian.’

Meanwhile in ‘A Comparative Study of Madonna, Gaga and Jessie J’, due for publication next month in Proceedings of the Association for Algebraic Arousal, Professor Richard Hancock comments: ‘J = (a – b x z), where Lady Gaga is a and z represents the London grime scene.’ Asked what bearing this had on the singer’s sexuality, Prof Hancock confessed he had no idea, adding, ‘But the figures don’t lie’.

Jessie J: It's Supposed To Be About The Voice

Posted in : Gossips

(added 11 days ago)

Jessie J It's Supposed To Be About The VoiceThe Brit-winner explained that the show was about vocals, not dancers: "It's a personal opinion. Progression isn't dancers. This is The Voice, it's about vocals. I'm here to be a coach and have my opinion. I'm entitled. It's a free world."She also implied that the outfit was just as detracting to the performance as the gyrating dancers were:

"You could have come out in jeans and a T-shirt and I would have watched you more than you did. I'm sorry, but I'm on The Voice!" It's fair enough. Jessie J herself never uses dancers or struts a sexy strut when she performs live on sta... oh.

Despite Jessie's negative comments, the rest of the judges loved Hannah's performance. Her mentor Danny O'Donoghue, in particular, was overwhelmed at how wonderful the jazz and pop mash-up had been: "You tipped your hat to the old and back to the new. My heart is pounding. I'm so proud!"

Tom Jones, similarly, explained that he was mesemerised by Hannah... but was that down to Welsh patriotism rather than her vocal work?

"I think you're beautiful and you're Welsh. I was so mesmerised by watching you, that I wasn't even aware they (the male dancers) were there!" Will.i.am summed the performance up as "dope" which, as we understand it, means that he really enjoyed it:

"The only thing in the switch-up was that you didn't seem confident, so when you went into the Justin Timberlake part, it took a while to get in it and then you got into it in the chorus, but it was dope."So we're guessing Jessie J was overruled on this one.

The Price Tag singer has already explained that she thinks she's been too nice to contestants in the past, so we're going to be seeing a lot more of this Miss Nasty as the weeks go on. Simon Cowell may have some competition in the put-downs department! Who do you think will make it through to the next round?

Jessie J Slams The Voice: It Was Lame To Keep Me In Same Outfit

Posted in : Gossips

(added 13 days ago)

Jessie J Slams The Voice: It Was Lame To Keep Me In Same OutfitJessie J has taken a break from her busy schedule to appear on the Graham Norton show and then go bowling with her friends. Jessie was wearing one of her usual striking outfits, consisting of a blue Evisu baseball jacket over an over-sized paisley silk shirt and her new favourite piece of clothing: her gold leggings. She performed her song 'Laserlight ' before chatting to Graham about her fashion sense, her music and life as a judge on The Voice.

The show is due to air tonight (May 4, 2012) and Graham was also joined by Julie Walters, Didier Drogba and Simon Amstell as guests. Jessie told him that she finds it strange when her fans send her photos of herself and try to discuss what she's wearing "like it wasn't me (in the photo)." Jessie also expressed her disappointment that the producers of The Voice had made her wear the same outfit throughout all of the auditions, for continuity, saying that it was "lame and not thought through."

Her criticisms won't go down well with the show's producers who have already been defending themselves from criticism from viewers who were disappointed to discover that the first of the results shows, aired last week, was not shown live.

The show also came under fire from the bosses over at Itv who accused the Bbc of 'dirty tactics' when The Voice over-ran by three minutes, clashing briefly with Britain's Got Talent, which had been shifted to a later time slot, specifically to avoid a clash.
